WHO Has Finally Named The New Coronavirus

According to a foreign news agency, the World Health Organization (WHO) held a global conference in Geneva attended by more than 400 scientists and other experts in which important decisions were made regarding the Coronavirus. During the conference, the Coronavirus spread from China was finally named.

Speaking to the media after the conference, WHO Director-General Tedros Edmond Gothic said that we have named the Coronavirus “Covid-19”.
In response to a question, he explained the name given to the coronavirus, saying that the name was used for ‘co’ corona, ‘vi’ virus and ‘d’ disease while ’19’. Named for the year 2019 as the first diagnosis of the virus was made on December 31, 2019.

Conference participants said that the coronavirus spreading from China around the world is a serious threat, but there are real opportunities to prevent it. In Korea, the number of Corona virus-infected people has increased to 44,653, and more than 100 have been killed.
