Saudi Arabia Bans Selfies in Makkah and Medina

You cannot take pictures and videos in Makkah and Medina. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia bans taking photos and videos in Makkah and Medina. According to news, the ban is imposed to stop people from taking selfies and maki9ng videos at the holiest Muslim sites, Makkah’s “Masjid Al-Haram” known as the Great Masjid of Makkah, and Medina’s “Masjid an-Nabawi” The Prophet’s Masjid.

The ban is not just to stop taking selfies. All type of videography or photography is ban within premises of the holy sites are now prohibited.
