Pakistan COVID-19 death toll reaches 224 & total cases 10513
Coronavirus cases in Pakistan are increasing day by day. The situation in Pakistan is getting worse after the new cases the total number of cases reaches 10513 and the death toll reaches 224.
This virus which starts spreading from China, has infected more than 185 countries and almost 183,454 people around the world have died. The total number of cases around the world surpasses 2,629,801.
Although the spread of the virus in Pakistan was not so rapid from the onset of the virus on February 26th to March 31st. The global pandemic has accelerated in the month of April and affected hundreds of people daily, while the death toll is also rising.

In the last 22 days, Pakistan reports 8000 cases and 194 deaths, while there were only 2000 cases & 26 deaths in the month of February and March. According to the government the coronavirus cases may rise in mid-May and will cause significant problems. However, efforts are currently being made by the government to curb the spread of the virus, with some restrictions and partial lockdowns, but the number of cases continues to rise.
Today (23rd April) Pakistan reports new cases and deaths.
2 more people have been died in Balochistan, after which the Balochistan death toll reaches 8. The total number of cases in the province are 552.
Islamabad reports 10 new cases of coronavirus today after which the total number has risen to 204.
Punjab reports 2 new deaths of coronavirus after which the Punjab COVID-19 death toll reaches 58. The total number of coronavirus cases has risen to 4590 in Punjab. While, Punjab reports 790 recovered cases.
However, one thing that is encouraging and a ray of hope for patients in the country is the speedy recovery of the people. According to official figures, in the last 24 hours, 181 more people have recovered in the country. After which the total recovered cases has risen to 2337 in Pakistan.
After these new cases, if we take a look at the overall situation in the country, Punjab is most affected by the virus in Pakistan, but the death rate is highest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Punjab reports so far 4590 corona cases which is more than 40% of the total number. Sindh is on 2nd position with 3373 cases which is more than 30% of the total number. KPK has 1453 coronavirus cases while Balochistan has 552 cases.

Islamabad has 204 coronavirus cases and the number of coronavirus cases in Gilgit Baltistan is 290. Azad Kashmir is the least affected by coronavirus in Pakistan, the total cases in Azad Kashmir are 51.
In terms of deaths KPK is on number 1 & Sindh is on 2nd position.
