From January to June 2019, national airline PIA’s revenue increased by 44 percent while operating losses decreased by 40 percent.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesman Abdullah Khan said that in the first six months of 2019, the revenue received 66 billion, while in the same period in 2018, the revenue was Rs 46 billion.
The spokesman said that the PIA’s deficit in the first 6 months of 2018 was 17 billion, while in 2019 the deficit was reduced to Rs 7 billion. According to spokesperson PIA, the company had a deficit of 68 billion in 2018, which increased the debt.
Abdullah Khan says PIA has shown significant performance in all sectors, with a set point increase of 6 points, which is 84% while the default notice of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on airlines. It is also over.

The spokesperson said the new administration released its first-year results, the main reason for the results being the improvement in management strategy and discipline.
According to the spokesman, the launch of new profitable flights and control of unnecessary expenditures have been the cause of improvement, the results of the full year 2019 will be announced soon.
