Karachi police foiled a major terror plot and arrested six accused linked to the Indian intelligence agency RAW.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gharbi Fida Hussain Januri told a press conference in Karachi that the six arrested accused belonged to the banned separatist organization ‘Brass’ backed by the Indian intelligence agency.
According to SSP Fida Hussain, the accused include Sher Khan, Karim Bakhsh alias Bagal, Dilshad, Moran Khan alias Molo, Darkhan, and Nari and Amir Bakhsh alias Nari.
He said that Avan launcher, 5 grenades, 6 Awan bombs, 3 Kalashnikovs, 1000 bullets were recovered from the possession of the accused while 3 9mm pistol bullets and explosives were also seized during the raid.
According to the SSP, the arrested accused have revealed the plan of a major attack in Karachi. They have been involved in attacks on Army, Frontier Constabulary, and Levies convoys in Balochistan.
They added that the banned separatist group had the support of the Indian intelligence agency RAW, which trained and funded them, and that a strong network of suspects was being run from Afghanistan.
