Karachi: A suspected coronavirus patient admitted to Jinnah Hospital in Karachi committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the ward.
According to the Saddar police, 30 years old Fawad Ali, a resident of the Quaid Abad area of Landhi, was brought to Jinnah Hospital a few days ago due to his addiction to ice. According to Jinnah Hospital Director Dr. Sami Jamali, Fawad Ali showed symptoms of coronavirus during an emergency medical examination, and was rushed to Jinnah Hospital’s Ward 23, where most suspected coronavirus patients are admitted.
According to hospital sources, the suspected patient Fawad Ali was tested for coronavirus and a report was awaited. According to doctors, his condition deteriorated due to lack of drugs and he also had a quarrel with paramedical staff and ward boy after which the patient jumped from the balcony of the third floor of the hospital this morning.
Police say the body of Fawad Ali, who committed suicide, has been shifted to the morgue.
