In Lahore, police cracked down on violators of the Kite Flying Act on Sunday and arrested 49 accused and registered cases. According to SSP Operations Lahore Faisal Shehzad, 12 kite-flyers and 5 kite sellers were arrested from City Division.
Faisal Shehzad said that 3 kite-flyers were arrested from Cantt Division, 8 from Model Town Division, 8 from Civil Lines Division, 4 from Iqbal Town, and 8 from Saddar Division. According to police, more than 300 kites, 6 cahrkiyan, 28 pani door, 8 ghuchi door, and kite making equipment were recovered from the accused.
