IPL 2020 Postponed Due To Corona Virus Scare. BCCI Releases New Date For The Tournament
COVID-19 the deadly virus is spreading rapidly around the world. It was started from China’s city Wuhan in 2019 and it is now has been reached almost 20+ countries. Coronavirus has infected almost 125,000 people worldwide. It has taken almost 4500+ lives worldwide. 50+ coronavirus cases have been reported in India.
Due to this deadly coronavirus outbreak, BCCI has decided to postponed the Indian Premier League’s (IPL 2020) 13th addition. This step is taken to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. BCCI has postponed IPL 2020 due to scare of Coronavirus & it has released new dates for IPL 2020. According to the new dates of IPL 2020, the matches will start on 15th April. This decision was taken by the officials of BCCO including President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah.

Someday before the news came that IPL 2020 will be started on its scheduled dates with closed-door mean no spectator will be allowed. But, today BCCI has said that this event is for Indian cricket lovers, so with closed doors isn’t good of IPL. So they decided to postpone the event until 15th March.
As you know COVID-19 is not stopping, it has canceled many big events like IIFA 2020 and many more. This deadly outbreak has also canceled the UEFA Champions League, NBA and ATP tour and many more.
The ADB is also closed due to scare of COVID-19, Qatar has closed all educational institutes, banks and it is also suspended ingoing and outgoing flights.
On-going Indian Vs. South Africa 3-match ODI Series will be played in empty grounds. The biggest cricket event PSL 5 matches also will be played on empty grounds from today.
