What is CoronaVirus? Answers to 10 basic questions about Corona Virus

Uncertainty has arisen around the world following the humanitarian attack of the Coronavirus in China. The virus can be killed by invading the human respiratory system and more than two dozen people have died from it so far. This article answers common questions about the Coronavirus.

1: What is Coronavirus?

More than half a dozen variants of the Coronavirus have been discovered. When viewed through the microscope, the edges of the semi-circular wires look like embosses that usually resemble crowns. That is why they are called krona virus because in Latin the crown is called krona.

It is still mostly infected with pests and poultry, but the virus can and will continue to affect humans. The world heard the name Coronavirus in the 1960s and so far many variants of it (13 in total) have been exposed, which for their own sake have been named Coronavirus, but in 13 types of Coronavirus. Can move them up to seven humans. This year, the deadly virus in Wuhan, China, has been named to 2019, which is a new type of virus.

2: How does the Corona Virus Attack?

Of the subtypes of the Coronavirus, two out of the three deadly viruses for humans are from China. First, Seaworthy Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), the second Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) from the Middle East, and now the third 2019 nCoV also spread to Wuhan, China.

Wuhan virus invades the upper respiratory tract and infects the lower respiratory system and can cause live pneumonia or flu. Earlier in 2003, the SARS virus killed 774 people in China and affected 8,000. Mercy was even more terrifying.

3: Tell us about the new Coronavirus attack?

People in China have complained of indigestion, colds, fever, and cough. Those who were attacked were described as having difficulty breathing. According to the World Health Organization, the symptoms appear from two to two weeks after being infected with the virus. The patient must then be kept in an isolated quarantine. At this time the people of Wuhan have accumulated rations for several days and the majority are reluctant to leave.

4: How is it possible to diagnose and treat the new Coronavirus?

The Chinese Department of Health has discovered the genome (genetic draft) of the virus from Wuhan and presented it to the world. So far, no anti-viral drug or vaccine has been exposed because a new virus has appeared in December 2019, and specialists are treating it with only visible symptoms. Although China claims that only 4% of people infected with the virus have died, the World Health Organization has said that 25% of the infected patients are critically ill.

5: Is the Coronavirus spread by snakes and bats?

Not long ago, Chinese scientists claimed after genetic research that for the first time a new type of virus was infected with snakes that were kept with live bats in Wuhan’s market, but other experts dismissed the possibility. Snakes, insects, and bats are common in China.

Experts in other countries insist that the virus, as before, is spread by animals that are sold live in Chinese markets, near fruits and vegetables. People might be impressed by this and SARS was similar. Chinese experts insist that snakes and bats can spread the air by causing science to cause the virus in humans, but other experts disagree.

6: Can this virus become a universal pandemic?

Talking to the Express, prominent expert and author, Dr. Salahuddin Qadri, said that any virus needs four things to become a global pandemic:

First: be a new type of virus

Second: the ability to move from animal to human

Third, the ability to cause disease in humans

Fourth: The ability to cause disease from person to person

In this context, all four have come to light in the new Coronavirus. Dr. Syed Salahuddin Qadri said that the virus had spread to many countries in the world in a short period of time and before that the swine flu outbreak had spread to several countries in just one month.

7: Can Coronavirus come to Pakistan?

The answer to this question is yes. It should be noted that the Chinese city of Wuhan has already spread the virus to other cities. It has since been confirmed in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and the United States. Chinese travelers are being scanned at airports around the world. One patient has also appeared in the UK but the World Organization has not confirmed it.

Scanning arrangements have also been made at Pakistani airports. A large number of Chinese specialists come to Pakistan for sea packs and other projects. This requires strict monitoring and scanning. In China alone, there has been evidence of multiple people being affected by one person.

Minister of State for Health Zafar Mirza has acknowledged that Pakistan does not have the proper facilities for identifying and screening the Coronavirus. In this situation, Pakistan needs to be more alert.

8: How deadly is this virus?

So far 26 people have died from the virus in China, and the number of victims has exceeded 830. Public transport is closed in Wuhan and ten other cities, and people have been evacuated to homes. But millions of people come out and meet each other on New Year’s Eve celebrations. In this context, the virus can spread further.

Chinese authorities say up to 4 percent of people infected with the virus can become infected. In this sense, the deadly severity of the Krona virus is low. On the other hand, Dr. Mark Wollhouse, an infectious disease specialist at the University of Edinburgh, disagrees, saying that it is likely to be the link between average-grade infections and SARS that can lead to more deaths. “The virus could be more deadly if it changed itself further,” he said.

9: How to protect against Corona Virus?

The World Health Organization has issued guidelines in this regard that summarize:

Wash hands with good soap frequently. Stay away from colds and colds. Cover your mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing. Stay away from pets. Wash hands thoroughly before and after cooking. Cook the food well and do not allow it to remain raw. Avoid touching anyone’s eyes, face, and mouth.

Dr. Qadri said that the guidelines given by the World Health Organization are fulfilled with Wudhu. Thus, performing wudu five times a day is very helpful in preventing any infection.

10: What are the guidelines for those traveling from Pakistan to China?

The UN has not declared any such emergency for China but has said that it should take precautionary measures and inform the authorities of their travel history. On the other hand, it is necessary to go through the scanning process where necessary.
