UAE announces 5-year tourist visa

A 5-year tourist visa has been announced for all nationalities in the United Arab Emirates. A 5-year tourist visa for all nationalities was announced at a meeting chaired by the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, according to a foreign news agency report.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that today we are changing the system of issuing tourist visas in the country to make the tourist visa period for all nationalities applicable for five years.

He added that there are more than 21 million tourists annually in the UAE and we want to establish the UAE as an international tourist destination. It should be noted that on December 4, the United Arab Emirates Federal Authority for Identification and Citizenship made it clear that there are 2 types of transit visas available to travellers coming from abroad.

One transit visa is absolutely free which lasts 48 hours while the second transit visa covers 96 hours which will require 50 payment. Both of these transit visas will be for passengers travelling only with the UAE’s airlines and must be approved before entering the UAE.
