Two pilots martyred in army’s trainer aircraft crash near Gujrat

A training plane of Pakistan Army crashed near the Gujrat district of Punjab, resulting in the deaths of both pilots.

According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Department of Public Relations (ISPR), the plane was on a routine training flight that crashed near Gujarat. The statement said both pilots aboard the crashed plane were martyred. According to the ISPR, Major Umar was an instructor pilot and a resident of Gujarat, whose mourners include his widow. The other pilot was Lieutenant Faizan, who was getting the training to fly.
