They treat a patient using chemotherapy or medication, depending on the condition and cancer stage of the patient.

Gastroenterology is the study of the digestive system and its related disorders. It includes the study about all the digestive organs, including the stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, liver, etc. 

Gastroenterologists also check liver disorders by checking the liver tissue and its damages. Sometimes, they use a needle to remove an infected liver issue.
