This Afghan Refugee Doctor is Winning Praise for Saving Lives in Pakistan

The Afghan refugees are living in 52 registered campus in Pakistan. But, in addition to these campuses there are Afghan refugees in all major cities of Pakistan.

And among such refugees is an Afghan woman serving as a doctor at a hospital in Rawalpindi, Punjab, who is serving at this time of trouble.

UNHCR, a subsidiary of the UN (EU) on refugees tweeted “An Afghan refugee resident in Pakistan, Dr. Saleema Rehman provides a lifeline to some of the poorest people in Pakistan.”

UNHCR European Affairs said in a tweet that Saleema Rahman is providing treatment support to poor patients at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi. At the same time, the tweet said that the hospital also provides proper treatment to locals, including Afghan refugees.

UNHCR also shared pictures of Afghan Dr. Saleema Rehman. In one of the photos you can see her treating a patient with fellow doctors.
