Famous domestic and foreign players could not make it to the PSL Season 5. Pakistan Test cricket captain Azhar Ali’s name was in the Gold category but no team bothered to buy him; Fast bowlers Omar Gul, Abid Ali, Imran Khan Junior, Mir Hamza, Mukhtar Ahmed, Saad Nasim, Zulfiqar Babar, Usman Salahuddin, and Imran Farhat were not selected by any team.
In the fifth edition of the PSL, many foreign stars will not be able to appear in action. Former South African opener Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, West Indies twice T20 World Cup winger Dwayne Bravo also impressed any team. West Indies Superintendent Narine, Ian Lewis, Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews, all-rounder Theresa Pereira could not be selected, England’s Adil Rasheed and Harry Gurney were not picked by any team, Bangladesh’s Mujib. Al Haman, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Nabi will also not be able to appear in action during Pakistan Super League 5.
T20 specialist Imran Nazir could not impress any team, Harris Sohail, Mohammad Sami also ignored. Similarly, fast bowler Omar Gul, considered the best batsman of the future, Abid Ali, Imran Khan Junior, Mir Hamza, Mukhtar Ahmed, Saad Nasim, Zulfiqar Babar, Usman Salahuddin, and Imran Farhat were not selected by any team.
