On the other hand, Islamabad United managed to beat Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets in the other game and made their way through to the next round. Now, Islamabad United will face Lahore Qalandars in today’s match and the winner will face Multan Sultans in the grand final of HBL PSL 7.
Although, this year’s PSL has been going on without any delays or postponements but rain might spoil the party tonight. According to the weather forecast, Lahore is expected to receive rain tonight.
It is pertinent to mention that there are no set days on which matches are played – other than the last one. So, what would happen if the match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars gets interfered with by rain?
According to the rules, the team which has a higher standing in the group stage will qualify for the final. Lahore Qalandars finished second on their group table and they beat Islamabad United twice.
It means that if rain affects the match, Lahore Qalandars will qualify for the final.
