Mufti Taqi Usmani’s statement on the construction of temple in Islamabad

Prominent religious scholar and Shaykh al-Hadith Mufti Taqi Usmani has said that non-Muslims in the Islamic State have the right to maintain a place of worship in their populated area.

In his statement regarding the construction of the temple in Islamabad, Mufti Taqi Usmani said that in a country like Pakistan which is made of peace. New places of worship can be built there as needed.

Mufti Taqi Usmani added, “But it is not permissible for the government to build a temple at its own expense, especially in a place where the Hindu community has a very small population.
