Due to slow economic growth in the country, the Indian cricket board reduced the IPL prize money by 50%.

The Indian Cricket Board has also reduced the IPL prize money.  this time the winner will get only Rs 10 crore instead of 20, so the runner-up will now get Rs 6 crore while the third and fourth-placed teams will receive 4.375 crores each.  It should be noted that this time to save costs, it is decided not to arrange the IPL opening ceremony.
