How to Make delicious rolls at home for Iftar

If some things are not on the table during Iftar in Ramadan, then the Iftar does not seem complete to the family. Fritters, samosas, rolls, lentils, yogurt, and fruit licks are just a few of the dishes that are served in every home during Iftar during Ramadan.

By the way, when it comes to samosas, rolls, and fritters, these are the dishes that are mostly brought from the bazaar during Iftar. It may be difficult to bring. However, during the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus this year, people must have been having difficulty in bringing samosas, rolls, and fritters from the market during Ramadan.

There will be many women who always bring these items from the market because they do not know how to make them at home. That’s why here is a very simple recipe for making rolls, try it and prepare a bazaar-like roll in your home and present it at Iftar.

Required Ingredients to make rolls at home 

To make the filling

  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 cup of boiled chicken
  • A cup of finely chopped carrots
  • 1 cup of finely chopped capsicum
  • A cup of finely chopped cabbage
  • A cup of finely chopped green onions
  • A teaspoon of salt or to taste
  • A teaspoon of chopped pepper
  • Chopped red pepper half a teaspoon
  • Two tablespoons of soy sauce
  • A tablespoon of vinegar
  • A teaspoon of white cumin

For roll:

  • Roll strip 12 pieces
  • A tablespoon of flour
  • Water as required
  • To fry oil

Procedure:

Heat four tablespoons of oil in a frying pan, add white cumin and fry. Then put the chicken, all the vegetables and spices in this frying pan, and mix well while frying for five minutes and letting the filling cool down.

Mix a tablespoon of flour with a little water to make a paste.

Fold in the roll strips with some filling and stick the edges with the flour paste. Heat oil for deep frying in a separate pan, add the prepared rolls one by one and fry on medium heat till golden.

Hot rolls can be served with mint, tamarind sauce, or ketchup. Rolls prepared before frying can be frozen for up to a month, while frying can be used as needed.
