Government of Pakistan launches official website for coronavirus live updates.

In Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Assistant Special Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan, Assistant Special Health Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza and Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar held a joint press conference.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the Government of Pakistan has set up an official website to convey the latest and certified information about Coronavirus to the people.

He said that at http://covid.gov.pk, the public will be able to get information regarding the current situation of Coronavirus in Pakistan as well as how to deal with security measures and emergencies.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to Health Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the whole nation is united. China was in talks to assist in the health sector; I am starting video conferencing with Chinese experts.

He said that coronavirus patients have been reported in 176 countries, which is alarming. 326 coronavirus cases have been reported in Pakistan. We will only share the numbers of certified cases of coronavirus. People now can visit the official website for the latest news about COVID-19.

“We need to cut down on social interaction and distance, most of the 326 people were affected by the virus from abroad, but there are very few cases of Coronavirus at the local level,” he said.
