Extension in School Holidays Due to Extreme Weather Conditions

A day after the school opens in Punjab and Azad Kashmir, a cold holiday has been announced for another week. After the holidays across Punjab, schools opened today but the attendance of children was affected due to the cold. Depending on the weather conditions, the Punjab Education Department has announced the extension of school holidays till January 12, 2020.

Provincial Minister Murad Ross said that all the private and public schools across Punjab would be closed from tomorrow and would be open from Monday 13th January.
Meanwhile, schools opened today after the end of winter holidays in Azad Kashmir, but now the teaching process will start from January 13. Holidays have been extended to all public and non-government schools at the behest of Prime Minister Azad Kashmir. On the other hand, after the holidays across Sindh, including Karachi, schools opened and the teaching process started and the cold has also subsided.

Holiday Decision Rejected

The All Pakistan Private School Management Association has rejected the decision of further holidays, saying that it will ruin the teaching system and are challenging this decision in the court.
