Death toll has risen to 25 and total cases 1870

Like other countries of the world, Pakistan is witnessing a rapid increase in coronavirus cases every day. 95 new cases of coronavirus reported today from Sindh, Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad. The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has risen to 1870.

According to the media coordinator of Sindh Minister for Health and Welfare Population, Miran Yousaf, 45 of the 61 cases reports in Sindh are from Karachi. Besides 14 cases were reported from Hyderabad and all of them belong to Tablighi Jamaat.  Jamshoro reports 2 coronavirus cases. According to provincial authorities, all these cases are locally transmitted virus cases.

Gilgit Baltistan:

According to the official website of coronavirus, Gilgit Baltistan reports 20 more cases and the total cases of coronavirus in Gilgit Baltistan has risen to 148.

Islamabad:

Islamabad reports 7 new cases and the number of total cases in Islamabad has risen to 58.

Punjab:

According to spokesperson Primary and Secondary Health Care Department (Corona Monitoring Room), Punjab reports 7 new cases after which the number of total cases in Punjab has risen to 658. According to the spokesman, the Coronavirus death toll in the province is 9, while 5 patients have been discharged after recovery.

After new cases in Pakistan, the number of coronavirus patients in Islamabad is 57, Punjab 658, Sindh 627, KPK 221, Balochistan 153, AJK 6 and 148 in Gilgit Baltistan. Talking of deaths in the provinces, 9 people have died so far in Punjab, besides 6 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6 in Sindh, 2 in Gilgit-Baltistan and one in Balochistan.

Coronavirus Deaths in Pakistan:

The first death due to Coronavirus was reported on March 18 in Pakistan. On same day 2nd death was also reported. These two deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On 20th March a death reported in Karachi and total death has risen to 3 in Pakistan. In KPK one more patient lost his life due to coronavirus on 22nd March.

On the same day, Gilgit Baltistan reports a death due to Coronavirus. A doctor who was treating coronavirus patients in GB lost his life. Balochistan reports a death due to coronavirus on 23rd March. Punjab reports first death due to COVID-19 on March 24th.  The death in Punjab was the first death of a local case in Pakistan. Punjab reports one more death on 25th March in Rawalpindi. A 50 years old woman died in Rawalpindi.

On March 26th, a patient lost his life in a private hospital in Lahore, following which the Coronavirus in the province killed 3 and a total of 9 deaths in the country.

Friday, March 27, another patient died in Lahore due to the Coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 4 in the province.

On the same day, Faisalabad reports a death due to coronavirus. A 22-year-old man died in Faisalabad on 27th March. After that death toll has risen to 5 in Punjab. The death toll due to coronavirus has risen to 11 in Pakistan.

On March 28, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister’s Information Minister Ajmal Wazir confirmed the death of a woman, leading to 12 deaths in the country.

As per official website data, Sindh reports the new case of Corona death on 28th March and the total deaths due to coronavirus in Pakistan have risen to 13.

On 29 March, A spokesman of health department Sindh confirmed the death of 2 more coronavirus patients in the province. With these two new deaths, the death toll in Sindh has increased to 3.

On 30 March Pakistan reports 7 new deaths due to coronavirus. The death toll due to coronavirus has risen to 25 in Pakistan.
