13 Spritzes You Can Try for Any Occasion

Whether you are hosting a summer barbecue or a winter celebration, spritzes are an easy way to add flavour and flair. If you’re new to this refreshing drink or want to try out other recipes, you’re in luck.

The following 13 spritz recipes will help you understand what is spritz about and why it could be your next favourite drink.

1) Sparkling Grapefruit Spritz

Combine grapefruit juice, club soda and lime in a tall glass with ice cubes. Stir well before drinking!

2) Lemon-Ginger Iced Tea Spritz

Brew your favourite black or green iced tea. Add the juice of one lemon and ginger syrup per cup of iced tea to taste (adjust quantities for larger batches). Pour over crushed ice in glasses or pitchers. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves if desired.

3) Strawberry Spritz

Combine strawberries, sugar syrup (equal parts water and sugar boiled until clear) or agave nectar, lemon juice and club soda in a blender. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds to one minute. Pour into glasses with ice; garnish each glass with fresh chopped mint leaves if desired.

Combine ginger beer, lime juice and simple syrup to taste in a pitcher or jar. Chill for at least an hour before serving.

In a blender, combine pitted cherries, sugar syrup (equal parts water and sugar boiled until clear), lime juice and club soda. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds to one minute. Pour into glasses with ice. If desired, you can garnish each glass with a fresh cherry.

11) Classic Mojito Spritz

In a pitcher or jar, combine rum, mint leaves (plus more for garnish), lime juice and simple syrup to taste. Chill for at least an hour before serving.

Combine grapefruit juice, tequila, Triple Sec or Cointreau, agave nectar (or sugar syrup) and lime in a pitcher or jar. Chill for at least an hour before serving. Rim the edge of each glass with salt if desired.

Combine tequila, Triple Sec or Cointreau, agave nectar (or sugar syrup) and lime juice in a blender. Add ice and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
